Spotlight on Tindie, Are You a Tindarian?

Posted

Schmartboard is sold through many channels. We sell through Mouser Electronics for the benefit of the professional community; Frys Electronics and MicroCenter are fantastic channels for our customers who live near a Frys; our neighborhood engineering stores such as Anchor Electronics in Santa Clara, CA are great for locals who want access to a very knowledgeable staff and Radio Shack has only a few of our products, they are everywhere. MCM Electronics, our newest partner supports professionals and hobbyists.

Tindie-logo@2xTindie is another place that we sell Schmartboards through. According to the Tindie website, "Emile Petrone is the Founder of Tindie. On April 7th, 2012 he left a post on http://reddit.com/r/Arduino: 'Would you support an Arduino marketplace or am I totally off base?' He officially launched Tindie in June 2012. Before Tindie he was an engineer at SimpleGeo (acquired by Urban Airship), worked in sales at Yelp and Red Beacon (acquired by Home Depot)."

Tindie is a marketplace of products designed by Makers and a few supporting technologies such as Schmartboard. I would check them out if you aren't familiar with them. Recently we had an opportunity to meet with Emile, some of his team and also a number of Tindle makers and customers. It was very interesting and I expect big things from Tindie in 2015.
